- Nancy Austin, Ph.D. Consulting Research Historian - helping non-profits identify and develop the transformative strategic opportunities that unfold with thoughtful and refocused new stories. Nancy Austin received her Ph.D. from Brown University in 2009, and has taught at RISD, Yale, and WPI. STEM to STEAM: A design-thinker and leadership coach Nancy has jumped silos to develop and advise STEAM projects for artists, designers, engineers, preservationists, and public historians for over 30 years. Since 2008, STUDIO AUSTIN ALCHEMY has bridged history as subjective storytelling, critical notions of the public and public space, and future concepts in location-based technologies and cultural tourism.
